From Scott and Debbie Kochanek, our fearless leaders:
It is our desire as youth leaders to prepare our teens with a solid Biblical foundation and encourage them to walk closer to God in their everyday lives now and in the future.
that after graduation they will have a burden for others whether believers or nonbelievers.
to see the importance of community and accountability in a Bible-believing church.
know the God of the Old Testament and New Testament is the same God we serve today and He desires a personal relationship with them
Here is Our Schedule:
We meet every Sunday morning at 9am in the Youth Room. If you don’t know where it is, just ask someone, they’ll point you in the right direction!
Right now, we are studying in the Old Testament. If you’re reading the Bible through from the beginning it can be confusing because the books are not ordered chronologically, or how they would appear on a history timeline. They are grouped together by subject. We are going through the Old Testament chronologically, meaning we start with the beginning of history and follow the stories in the order in which they happened.
We also meet every Wednesday night in the same room.
We’re reading through the Bible together using the daily reading schedule of the Bible Recap Podcast - Then meeting together to discuss each chapter. The first Wednesday of each month is Devos & Donuts, which if you think about it means we have food!
The guys are reading through and discussing together the book, “The Case for a Creator” by Lee Strobel.
The girls are reading through and discussing together the book, “LORD I want to know you” by Kay Arthur.
Scott and Debbie Kochanek both started out as young people, then became adults. Which is a good thing. We like having adults leading our youth group who love young people, love having fun with young people, love getting serious with young people, and who lead by example what it looks like to walk with Jesus. They took this selfie, can you tell?
