Miracles: - Glimpses of Sovereignty in God's Activity

“it’s a miracle!” is a common expression after a medical recovery or an escape from tragedy. Do we know what miracles are? God has used them sparingly. Why?  And what exactly are miracles and what is their purpose?  Here’s a hint: when we utter “It’s a miracle!” we are appealing to someone infinitely greater than ourselves. But when God performs a miracle, He has specific purpose beyond the miracle in mind, and the miracle accomplishes that purpose – every time.
